It looks like they throttle me from the 1st of the month. I ran a few speedtest last night, only getting 0.20Mbps on a 1Mbps uncapped account, but when I tested the prepaid Afrihost account I get 0.94Mbps which are more acceptable. Anyone else getting throttled?

Don't you start fresh every month, when I did the speedtest, I have only downloaded 30MB.

Except why would they be throttling from the very first day of the new month? The same thing happened to me last month... (R1 package though).

I did ~30GB in July at 100KBps+ and then in August the account plodded along at 30KBps...

Well I downloaded ~40GB last month, so maybe they throttle based on last month's usage, if that's the case I will have to find another uncapped account or just switch to capped.

40Gb on a 1024 account? There is no way it should be throttled.

I don't mind if they throttle during business hours, but currently I get trottled all hours, will have to wait and see what they say.

After a lot of emails, they figured it out, "it was set to the incorrect shaping group", now I'm back to normal.

remember your usage monitoring runs over a 10day rolling window.

1-10, 2-11, 3-12.............

So even if you down loaded an acceptable monthly amount maybe over the end of last month you used more than they think is acceptable in that 10day window.
