Gotta say, with so many TI users pulling their hair out of frustration, if Afrihost ever wanted to advertise a price drop of their 10mbps Home Uncapped package, now would be the perfect time.
So, Afriman - how about it?
If it was up to me, we'd all be on fibre and paying R10/ month

How shaped is your uncapped 10MBps? I use Hulu + and Netflix via unotelly DNS service with TI uncapped. TI uncapped is hopeless buffereing constantyl. Capped accountswork well but too expensive.
Streaming of Sky channels up to HD quality too.

AfriGuy, If I wanted to say, try out Afrihost Uncapped services, could I pay for like one month? Can I make an account and then just imminently cancel it?
How would one go about that?
And what if I cancelled it and I wanted to continue with it at the end of the month? So like, uncancell?

I dont think they shape Netflix (or well, they certainly don't intend to, I don't know if there's accidental shaping happening from time to time, but I doubt it).
TI is having issues at the moment. Before December, I ran tests on TI and Afrihost, and TI had a slight edge on Netflix streaming (but only very slight). Both performed adequately.
What about Hulu plus. Quality is much better on that platform. You can set the streaming quality from 650 kbps up to 3.5 MBps.
I couldnt stream on TI last night od SD channels. Was buffering every few seconds. Will Afrihost be better?

It's entirely dependant on the region you're in and how busy our network is at any given time.
Streaming is seen as a realtime service, and we do our absolute best to support the types of Hulu and Netflix - however it's hard to guarantee the service due to third party DNS/ proxy setups.

All of our products are month to month, so if you want to trial out an account - sign up and process a cancellation anytime before the 25th of the month.
If you're happy with the product, which I'm trusting you will be, you can drop me a PM and I'll cancel the cancellation (had to think about that, cancellation inception)

Shaped 25%/ 12.5 % in the East region. Afriteam please see if I'm being shaped incorrectly? It's a bit odd its so low in this region. Thanks

Mine is 18.8% / 6.25%. Not sure what it should be, but it does feel slow. Taking forever to try and download a game.

Steam has been extremely slow on Afrihost since Dec 2013, and I am on a Business Uncapped account.
