Haha. Indeed. Liking this Afri-loving on the forum. Great dedicated support staff, that KNOW what they are doing, and always willing to listen and sort out any problems you might have.

Sorry to hear about this. We'll need to check your logs and line and see if there is any correspondence in terms of disconnections. Trace routes will also show if there is no connection, or just a slow connection and high latency.

I think the issue was due to that DDOS thing. The day I saw the article on MBB that it was resolved, my ADSL started getting better and haven't had any issue since.

Funny how no one else seemed to get similar results as me?

Signed up for uncapped 1 meg yesterday and I just my first torrent to download and it is FLYING.

seriously impressed so far, much better than MWEB
 
Sure thing, drop me a PM with your line number and I'll run a quick check for you. Your router sync stats should also display your stats, and if your line is with us ClientZone2 will also give you this info.

OK, after my post yesterday we managed to get everything sorted and we're now happily syncing in the mid 8MB range. My pings in Guild Wars 2 were refreshingly quick in my short test last night as well :D
 
Ok so how long should it take for someone at Afrihost to respond if you fill in a support ticket via the control panel? Last one took a day and a half for them to awnser me back. :(

Hi there do you have trail accounts on your uncapped accounts? whats your big difference with home uncapped and business uncapped looking at 4MB
 
Are VPNs blocked / throttled into non-existence? A few of us are not getting throughput on VPNs to work. Not only on uncapped :(

There shouldn't be any issues with VPN setups on our end. If you're still having issues drop me a PM and I'll check things out for you.
 
Switching to Ah from mweb, been surviving (somehow) on the 1gb free account. Can somebody verify if I can still get a discount on the pro rata if I sign up? I remember there being something of the sort..
