This shouldn't be the case usually :( Is this an on-going issue or have you only noticed this today?
We are seeing reports of higher than normal latency in the Northern region - our team are aware and investigating this though.
 
Thanks Aktor - but this seems to have been an ongoing thing for around 2 weeks. Going to try another region maybe with unotelly and see if that fixes this issue :)

Ahh ok. Nah my UnoDNS has been behaving alright except for yesterday. Might be unrelated :/

Yea since Friday and i saw you mentioned it started Friday so that's probably the reason.

Ah OK.
Shout if you see these results replicated when using our DNS - it's easier for us to pinpoint a potential issue from there.

I am having trouble with account authentications, my adsl line is syncing correctly however no amount of clicking connect is working. Done the usual turnoff router wait 5min routine.

Help?

Could you drop me a PM with your DSL username? I'll have a look at the logs and see if I can spot anything :)
 
Anyone else getting slow download speeds from rapidgator? When I run torrents they come in at full speed yet my rapidgator seems to have taken a dive since noon.
 
Quick heads up to those in North experiencing high latency.

Looks like we've lost a very small portion of our North IPC, which is why we're seeing the additional latency. It was difficult to detect for this reason as well. MTN are working with Telkom to restore the IPC to full capacity as quickly as possible - but we may see hard shaping until then while we try to keep latency in check.

I'll post more updates as soon as I have them :(
 
Additional IPC capacity is a red herring. I waited until the last portion of IPC capacity to come on board, and my uncapped service performed well, then that additional capacity was consumed by AH's oversubscription by new customers. Same thing will happen this time. Few days of bliss, then back to oversubscribed.
