Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt3)

Thats so weird? Something is definitely blocking it!

Some routers block ICMP packets therefore blocking trace route results (other than first and last hop). My current Tenda (piece of ****) router does exactly that. Whenever I need to run a traceroute I have to switch my router over to my old Mega 105wr.

I can only watch the mobile version of this http://www.twitch.tv/esltv_cs twitch stream on my prepaid adsl data.
It buffers every now and then on mobile quality and the low stream wont even load. The page loads at my full line speed but streaming is just a not working correctly. :(

Ah that could be it. No backup router I'm afraid.

Just changed to a 50 GB capped account, does this mean I will get 100 GB a month (50 GB double anytime data included) for the same price of R199? This is correct? I got sick of the outrageous shaping on uncapped :(

As far as I know that double-data offer is only available for new customers. :/ (I could be wrong though).

Yes I think it is. Existing customers will receive the double data next month as far as I know. Also in case you didn't know - this offer excludes bundled clients :)

Yeah, and how retarded is that? Bundled clients NEVER get any of these promotions handed to them. Afrihost always plays the "You already save on your line" card when in reality it's not nearly as big a saving as what they offer their non-bundled clients.

Yup - only on normal package though, not bundled :)

You guys got the mystery bonus this month.

Afriguy, girl, man, dude, dudette, person, etc...

Any wisdom on why this site remains unreachable to me?

So AfriGuy replied to a PM and said the weird access to certain webs thing was a port something error... reset and now its working again.
But the weird thing is, BidorBuy keeps intermittently going to the whole rigmaroll, then it takes a day to access it again. Everytime I get to the nice watch comparisons it does this. I think I'm going to buy off ebay, this is getting annoying

Very disappointed with AH at the moment.

Shaping is now a full day thing. Used turbocharge earlier today to finish Windows updates. Tried using it again now:

But speeds are crap:

Bought top-up data from another ISP, and then get this:

I'm fully aware that they have "capacity" issues. Hence my question on a previous page as to when we can expect upgrades, because I might as well start using another ISP until then.

Well Axxess said 3weeks. So probably same.
