Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt3)

Im really interested in moving to Afrihost at the end of this month any way i can try out an "Trial account" to see how Afrihost is? Im interested in 2mb uncapped data only package.

Unless he is refering to business uncapped which he didnt, the 1gb trial wont give him a feel for the home uncapped account. This will leave him rather disapointed if he signed up with only this information. The 1gb trial will best give you a feel of their capped products and business account. If that helps

You can't offer a demo capped account to people wanting to try uncapped. The product is too different and can be (in this particular case is) very misleading to potential subscribers. You really need to look into implementing trial uncapped accounts if you want to be honest with potential clients. The way you're going about it can very easily be seen by reasonable people as unethical.
Maybe my post was a bit vague, that's my bad.
Although testing out the network also include latency, see where you're being routed and realtime performance. It obviously won't show shaping - wasn't my (or Afrihost's) intention to do this.

We don't have a time I'm afraid, in the past we've seen the capacity be added either late at night or in the early hours of the morning.
Tweaks may need to be made from there.

Well, reading this at least does not give me too much hope for fast downloads over the weekend. Will see how it goes once everyone is back at work next week.

Where are you based?
We are receiving reports of increased latency and slow speeds on our East network (Durban and KZN region). We are investigating with MTN, but this currently appears to be an IPC related problem. We apologise to affected clients and assure them that we are making every effort to resolve this as quickly as possible.
