Nope same here was checking the forums because my downloads are standing still
/snip
Well seeded are back to pre-ipc speeds, 9kbps.
Afriman would you mind helping
4 meg line,
Speedtests consistently show 3,2MB/s - 3,4MB/s
Tracert's havve very low ms on local hops to wherever I trace to, and in the 200ms - 300ms range when tracing international.
I can stream youtube videos without buffer lag at 720p, download direct http at about 200kB/s
But when I try to download a torrent file, it's down to disc-brake speeds of 0,1kB/s, and has consistently stagnated at these speeds for over a week now, with only an hour or so sporaticcally going as high as overall maximum of 200kB/s same as http downloads.
Is something going on with the network, is it my line? What's going on. In paranoia I have even switched off my WiFi on the router to see if my connection is not being leached.
My average daily usage was around 20Gb, today, the maximum I have been able to move is 1Gb. Something is not right. I have reset my router hundreds of times, fixed my line, checked my wall sockets, done a rain dance, scratched my head bald and yet, no change.
Last technician call from AH was a week ago and the result was a line reset, which had no effect. What else can I check?
Pretoria
This: "My average daily usage was around 20Gb" might be your issue....maybe you are in the "high usage" segment - at 20Gb a day, thats 600Gigs a month!.....but they are running unthrottled at the moment... I suggest you PM AfriMan and check if they have not started to manage you already.
I thought thresholds and management was a thing of the past...?
Try restricting the number of simultaneous connections your torrent client can run.
Also restrict upload speed to 10% of your line upload speed and downloads to 80% or so? And see if http improves?
4 simultaneous files or connections?
My nzbs are maxing my line right now![]()
Er, files, i probably misread or misunderstood your advice then, what were you suggesting? Global number of connections or number of active downloads?
