So basically, if I receive an invoice from you during the billing cycle for the full bundled amount, it means that Telkom won't bill me for the DSL line at the end of the month? (As I already pay it to AfriHost).

YOu have to see which period they are billing you for. End of August might be rental for the July period, in which case they might bill you the full or partial amount, depending on when your line moved over to us

Is the business uncapped thread unofficial, as it seems to gets so little input from Afrihost reps? Unlike in here.

WHAT! 5:48PM and no shaping applied. Wow Afriman and afrihost - this is what I call service after a complaint!

That's b'cos we are shaped to death here in Durbs. Switched my pc about 1 hour ago and shaped 18% dload, and I only dload after fracked hours. Dammit I'm upset

Our IPC in Durbs is under has been under a fair amount of load today. Have you also tweeted us? Seen a similar tweet regarding Turbo Charge.

nooo! downloading torrents last night on my 1mbps line - maximum speed of 15kB/s - offpeak speed! Just recently re-joined Afrihost - previously left shortly after they moved to MTN.

Not experiencing 'pure internet joy'!

In Jhb - Benmore - and download speeds are maxing at 14kB/s. Afriman - anything you can do about the aggressive shaping?

Are these P2P speeds that you're seeing?
Our JHB IPC is looking healthy tonight. If you're on Home Uncapped you can always give the Turbo Charge a shot to speed things up for a while :)

Yep - P2P speeds.

Where about in clientzone do I find the turbo-charge feature...?

thanks!

Best sight ever. And this hasn't changed the entire day

We were running some maintenance last night on the shaping system

Terrible P2P speeds last night from 10pm (Jhb) - max speed of 10kB/s. Brief spike between 11pm and 12am - but <10kB/s rest of the time. 1Mbp/s line.

This isn't right - testing out some aggressive shaping last night again?

LIES!

Getting terrible P2P speeds last night (<10kB/s) and night-before (<15kB/s). So I go to turbocharge and get the following popup:

"Turbocharge Not Recommended
Please be advised that your account is currently unshaped
There is no need for you to activate Turbocharge at the moment, however if you wish to ensure that your account remains completely unshaped for a period of time you can still opt to enable Turbocharge"

What do you mean unshaped? Are you playing with words - what - am I unshaped but heavily throttled? 'turbocharge' has done nothing. No wait - speed increased from 10kB/s to . . . 10.5kB/s

@Afriman - fix my line!

It's that time of the month again when Afrihost starts treating their uncapped customers like ****. No shaping applied my side and can't reach more than half my line speed. Tried a Turbocharge during the day yesterday with the same story. Tried using one of my capped accounts from Afrihost now and instantly got my full line speed.

What's going on guys?
