Afrihost Uncapped - Download Speeds

Had a problem with DL speed on Afrihost's 4MB uncapped last night. Was getting speeds of 0.25MB DL, using speedtest.net.

After opening a support call with them, their response, "Kindly note that we have been having some trouble with our uncapped and are unable to repair the problem ,although we have created a new uncapped network ,which is more stable and offers better speeds. Please advise if you would like me to migrate your account over to the new package. You will only need to change your username in your router"

Nice of them to notify me of this, only after I raised the issue.
 
Hey man look at the bright side at least you not with mweb they are garbage!

I often download +250Gb to over 400GB on an IS uncapped account for R199. Isn't the Afrihost uncapped just a rebranded IS offering?

I moved from Afrihost to MWeb when I got shaped after 5 days (yes, FIVE days). On a 384k uncapped account. They tried movnig me to an IS account, didn't seem to help. MWeb has been fantastic.

What IS account do you have for R199 that you can d/l that much on? At full speed a 384k uncapped line will get you 120gb.

Well I was talking about the 4mb uncapped. Apologies, meant R499. :)
