Gian, it would restore a lot of faith in your company if you were to come here and explain what has changed. If there has been any developments that make the account more usable, I would love an excuse to stay with you.

So my speed is back up to 'normal'. (430kbs)

I have done 44 gig. So do I stay or do I go?

I estimate my 'need' to be around 60 gig per month. If it stays like it is now untill I hit 60 gig, I will be more than happy to stay.

I have also cancelled my AH and subsequently moved on to MWEB. At around 64GB's and no throttling I have noticed... Nice :)

i have bought the axxess lite account so that i could finish my torrents, AH is unusable but i suppose 70GB is a bargain @R500...

tired of the heavy shaping....

Axxess Lite is flying at 320kb/s now...

no shaping during office hrs as advertised..

will keep this as a backup account and i will cancel AH.

I have moved 82GB. It seems they have relaxed the throttling. Speeds have improved in last couple of days. As I write, I'm downloading at full speed on rapidshare.

Anybody else unable to access their Afrihost uncapped account after canceling? I canceled last week sometime and was assured that the account would stay active until the 30 April seeing as though I've paid for the full month.

Downgraded my Afrihost back to a 1Gb and started with Mweb today, speeds are better with torrents, only just, but overall browsing (mostly streaming) seems much better. Will see how things go for the rest of the month.

I have very few complaints with Afrihost in terms of browsing and downloading though my latency in WoW to the US Stormrage server has been... well... painful.

Usage for the month so far: Just shy of 31GB (as of this morning) on a 1MB line shared by 4 users.

im on a 4Mb line with 4Mb UnCap account
browsing has been fine the last few days, downloading has not been great ( took me 20 min to download 90mb zip ) and WoW EU has been 100% after about 7pm , but Streaming is a no go ( "YouTube i miss u") and i wont even mention the crappy Torrent speeds, and remote work. what a mission!!

So i did what any well minded person would do. Canceled my account today and now i'm paying a little more for a lot more (Axxess 512 Uncapped Express fiber)

Hi.

Trust you are well.

Your account has been deactivated because you did not choose a cancellation date.

Thanks you for mail.

Feel free to advise further.
Have a great day & please feel free to let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Warm regards.

Derick
WTF! When I canceled it clearly said that service would be revoked at the end of April, i.e. there was no reason or way to specify a date.

Afrihost changing their own policies as they please...once again. I warned this Derick character that I've already lodged a complaint with the ASA for their bait-and-switch tactics and not to press me to create another for charging me for a full month's service and not providing it.

There is an option to choose when you want it to cancel. Many people have done it.
