Getting great speeds again on my 4meg uncapped account, downloading is going strong at 300-420kb/s , with my total usage sitting at 49gb for the month

Looked at my clientzone on 384 uncapped it says I am allocated only 12Gigs!
Also had the slowspeeds the last 2 days.
This morning (Frid 16 April) all seems fine speedwize but I am worried about the newly instated allocation of data?

I just gone past 30GB and my 4Mbps line speeds has been downgraded to 1Mbps. Goodbye Afrihost!!!

Sometime last night my speeds also seemed to significantly improve on throttled afrihost (local dc++ sharing) ... don't know yet if it was just fluke or if they're actually trying to tweak things to make them better. Will see later when i am back home. To be honest, I'd personally probably be happy enough if they could just leave local bandwidth relatively unthrottled.

When the clock hit 6, I when't from 40kb/s to 380kb/s on my downloads, usage for my 4meg account currently stands on 51GB for the month.


Update to the above
it's now around 6:30pm and I'm still getting 380kb/s + speeds.....

Definitely seing improvement. Not full speed, but MUCH improved. My top overall speed: HTML download, browsing, torrents etc was < 100KB/s (with torrents <20KB/s) before. Now getting total speed avg of just below 200 KB/s (a bit erratic though, 50, 270, 120, 200, 100, 90, 200 etc). Torrents around 50KB/s. I'm on 30 something GB for the month.

Is speed affected on Afrihost 4mb/s uncapped if you have used less than the 30gb threshold amount?
