Afrihost Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Well I'm running 10 concurrent downloads from hotfile (premium account) and its humming around 250kB/s... So if thats shaped, I'm happy! Thats 5 X faster than my screamer 512 which cost R799... eish

Daytime HTTP downloading: Peaked at 360 KB/s, also averaging 300 KB/s

File is Nvidia Drivers for Windows 7 32bit.

I did grab one very popular torrent earlier, but it may have been too new (low seed/perr ratio) because it was going terribly at around 60Kb. Hopefully just the torrent, I'll test more tonight.

I have been bitching about those milking the system since the first reasonably priced uncapped service arrived and have been shot down on each occasion. Good on you Afrihost!

Downloading the same thing now, actually getting full 3.6mb, 440Kb/s. Not bad, except that Nvidia is on an Akami server so it's really local.

Speedtest durban = full speed
Speedtest france = full speed
Durban latency 64ms
France latency 239ms

Youtube Avatar 720p trailer loaded faster than it played

Wow latency on twilights hammer +- 500ms

There seems so be very little difference between the uncapped and capped accounts in terms of WoW latency, at least on my server ^_^ Happy!
