Any chance you can answer my questions about what happens once I sign up?
 
What router do you have?
You have to change from bridged mode to PPPOE mode on the router.

Thanks, will give it a try when I get back tonight. I have a truly ancient Telkom ADSL router, which I've used ever since I got ADSL 6 or 7 years ago.
 
Bo hoo was flying last week till last night then slowed down???? Told it is a temp problem anyone else have this issue?

Who told you it was temporary? I'm still waiting on Afrihost to reply to my support mail.

What you mean? Havent used altbinz but im sure it will work just fine.
Just put in the server/port details from your news server and your username and password.
 
The support technician cannot recall name. But it is way longer than 30min!

Lol. Every time I've phoned support for something the answer has been "Wait 30min and try again." At least they've gotten past Telkom's "Try rebooting.".

I'm guessing that when they switched on the 384 and 512kbps uncapped they fooked up the 4mbps accounts...
 
faster line speed,
uncapped service,
adsl line rental included,
no restrictions,
no thresholds,
no limitations,
totally unshaped,
for a cheaper price,
would be great.
 
I'm still waiting too...been horrible all day long. This from like two minutes ago:

Just loaded my normal 4mbps account and speeds are up so it is the uncapped that is faulty????!!!!!
 
I can't even connect to my uncapped 4MB account now. Using my Telkom account to write this. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Mine is up but super slow. Looks like I'd better not cancel my telkom account just yet then...
 
I deleted my router and ate my pc ... Its all windows fault ... Mail your harddrive to me and i will put everything on it ...
 
Sorry guys - it's my mistake - I'm using up all the bandwidth downloading on my Afrihost capped account ;)
