Afrihost uncapped?

I'd like to see Afrihost end the R29/gig special now and reserve whatever is left of that marketing budget to subsidize uncapped accounts one day!

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I'd sincerely appreciate any further suggestions!

Are there any plans to offer cheaper bandwidth after hours? I'm sure that half priced bandwidth from 1am to 8am for example would be very popular. The Axxess 626 and the Cybersmart Night Rider products are good examples of discounted rate limited access bandwidth.

At the moment I think Afrihost is awesome but I (like everyone I guess) could do with more bandwidth.

So at the moment I have 5GB with telkom and a 5GB with afrihost (and three other pre-paid options as backups). Now last month my bandwidth went something like this:
Telkom
- Standard 5GB subscription

Afrihost
- Standard 5GB subscription
- 4GB top up
- 3GB top up (x2 - buy 1 get 1 free) = 6GB
- 3GB top up (x2 - buy 1 get 1 free) = 6GB (I just couldn't pass up on the special!)

Total = 26GB

Now with Afrihost at normal prices of R29 per GB that would cost me R754 if I bought the same amount of bandwidth every month (but of course I'd prefer more bandwidth). So let's assume that I could get around 60GB - 70GB (as a subscription) at R500 p/m at full speed anytime of the day - that would be what I'd want over uncapped at 384kbps especially if I can get the same performance I've been getting from my Afrihost connection!

...[A] Big Kudos to Dave & his team from DigiChilli for the innovative uncapped product they've recently launched - I wish them all the best from the team at Afrihost.

Ta Gian. Its a real pleasure getting a compliment from you.

And you were the first to break that R40-R50/gig mould, that started all this off anyway.

I'm reminded of the immortal words of the The Wolf in Pulp Fiction:

"Well, let's not start sucking each other's d**ks quite yet. "

Full line speed during business hours but with a 3gig cap then full line speed uncapped after hours and weekends. Like nightrider but better.

Haha, this is South Africa not Korea, lets keep things reasonable, 3 gigs is more than enough for browsing plus the majority of people are at work using that line the whole day so it hardly matters
