Afrihost Vodacom Fixed 5G thread

Rebooted router again just now, connects to 4G+ but almost zero throughput, can't load anything. Don't have any VPN's connected. Just the odd website here and there that will eventually load, can't do speedtests, and no connection to Whatsapp or Telegram.

Seems like the APN is totally broken. Whatever Vodacom did last night made things worse, it's very worrying that nobody at Afrihost or Vodacom can resolve this, surely there must be someone that can take a closer look and identify the cause and fix it?

It has been like this for 4 days now thankful the vpn fixed everything hope it remains that way but this has been the longest downtime I have experienced.

Hi,
The team is currently in a troubleshooting meeting with Vodacom to mitigate the issue while a permanent solution is being finalised.

Was anything changed or fixed that should make us expect that the connections should now work?

Mine is somewhat usable today. I'm getting horrific ping spikes over 230ms via cloudflare & google DNS locally. Latency to Europe is over 300ms now. I do find it unfair that users in Port Elizabeth, no matter how many times we reboot, never get the opportunity to have our connection breakout in Cape Town. WAN IP is still CGNAT.

At times the connection does still feel slow whereas before it did not, webpages take a minute to load

Also got packet loss

Then this
