Hi blaaislaai,
As long as that SIM is your existing MTN Post Billed Contract SIM, then we can move the service over to Axxess. If you bought a SIM from Afrihost then we will suggest you rather get a new SIM from Axxess.
I couldn't complain about the Afrihost mobile data APN I had with them. I moved to Axxess's APN from 1 December but have not been able to test it since there are issues provisioning my SIM with them.
I'm having this same issue and support are completely useless. I signed up on the 25th and my SIM was "provisioned" the same day. Still not working. Really regretting switching.
Hi elysian, we have sent you an email. We will assist you to get this sorted asap.
created account with axxess this afternoon.(I have cancelled afrihost)
Account activated and I applied new APN. What a pleasure this change over was..!
Thank you axxess..! well done.

Afrihost is MTN and Axxess is MTN. What's going to be the benefit? It's the same incompetent MD Provider.
I signed up with Axxess and provisioned my Afrihost sim after after receiving directions from the Axxess call centre. Was told to phone Afrihost and have them unprovision the sim from their side, of which they did. Called Axxess thereafter only to informed by another agent that I cannot use the Afrihost sim because it is not a post paid sim and it will not work. She informed me that I need to order a sim from Axxess, which I did. Note that after I signed up in the morning, no payment went through. After I ordered the sim from them, 2 payments went through at the same time. Not cool.
We manage short term holiday homes in Cape Town and want to give holidaymakers 1 to two gigs during their stay. They must be able to top at at their own cost if they need more. I am looking at the entry level costs to do this. Although the differences in costs are not a train smash I would like to ask you for advice.
Looking at the rates here and top up cost Axxess looks like a better deal than Afrihost mobile data top up.
It looks like Axxess is cheaper on the entry level and Afrihost cheaper on the high end.
Am I missing something?
Customer service?
Ease of top up?
etc..
