We have subscribed to Afrihost for a few months now.
Everything was OK until a week or two ago.

Their support was good and the service was good. Nothing to complain about.
Unfortunately at the end of November, we were forced to change bank accounts due to fraudulent use in the account.

We did make a once off payment to them, but they still deducted from the old account. Obviously the amount could not be deducted and Afrihost cut our service. We first had to pay the R 50.00 for the return of the Debit Order on the old account.

I did not understand why we should have paid the R 50.00, but we did pay it because we did not want to be cut off.

Since we were connected again, our connection has gone from bad to worse or should I say non existent.

These are the speeds we tested with www.saix.net
142ms
0.04mbps Download speed
0.04mbps Upload speed

I have captured it as an Image, but it appears I can not insert it in this post.

This is my speeds as tested with mybroadband Speedtest
Last Result:
Download Speed: 36 kbps (4.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 50 kbps (6.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

To insert picture from computer:
Insert Picture 1.jpg
Insert Picture 2.png
Then click upload files. Use from URL if it is an internet site, just note that you have to click on the image link tab on speedtest and copy paste that into from URL.

Your first hop looks high, have you tried a different ISP account yet? Sign up for the free 2GB account from webafrica and post a speedtest and tracert from that account. It will help narrow down if it is the line/exchange or the ISP account.
