Afrikaans question papers in UFS.

Are you implying that the tests didn't cover the same scope or even the same questions just in different languages?
I don't even know what to make of this, did you get university exemption at all? You can't be this daft surely :o
 
A year or two ago I wrote a UNISA paper where one of the English questions was cut off midway. The Afrikaans section was complete. It seems those who answered the paper in English had their paper marked out of less marks, with that question removed from the English paper.

Was it discrimination against Afrikaans people who had to write a full paper? What about the poor souls who were upset about the error in their (English) paper, and struggled to concentrate afterwards? Was there a deliberate ploy to advantage Afrikaans people (or, in fact, as COSATU now claims for the UJ case, "White people")?

No. Mistakes happen. Get over yourselves and stop making an issue about everything.

So you are telling me the lecturer intentionally added the answer for a single question, in an effort to give afrikaans students an advantage over non afrikaans students? Would it not have been easier, not to mention a safer option to just give them all an answer sheet they could study from before the exam?

Your logic is lacking.

Yes that is exactly what I am telling you, being lazy/bad at your job does not equal some devious plot to empower afrikaans learners.

At least you can copy and paste, good on ya.
 
I would like to see a photograph of the specific question in this test. Though it seems like one incident out of thousands of tests that are written at UFS each year, and likely not intentional (since such an irregularity is almost certain to become public). It is a stretch to claim that this is an act of racism.

Ooh, you naive poor little soul. Why was the lecturer good as doing his/her job while compiling the English paper and suddenly became "lazy/bad" when compiling the Afrikaans paper?

What if he compiled the english paper first, when he did the afrikaans exam he was tired.

Who is to say the same lecturer compiled both exams?

Also my initial question stands, why give them this "edge" in such a public manner, if he wanted to help them as I said he could have given them the test to study from prior to them writing.

Just wondering, are the black afrikaans and white english people also being oppressed by this? or does it only count for the black english?

So we can drop BEE and AA to get to that level playing field? Also drop the differentiated university requirements for different races?
