I just spotted this whilst checking my usage minutes ago ...was so excited, and then read "this service is not yet available on 4Mb" 
I actually may just downgrade to the 512 line just to use this. Now that's progress for ya!

I'm interested in this as well....but I'm a little worried. It means that I have to transfer my line from Telkom to Cybersmart, but the real question is do I then have to pay for the R200 odd rand installation fee and the 24 month contract for the "free" router as well?

Nope ... I changed my line over to Cybersmart a while back (and not on contract). No hidden fees and nothing required on your part, plus you get a nice discount
It just may take a while to kick in depending on the date of your billing cycle.

I find the whole tenet behind this laughable.
The rest of the world can download whatever they want whenever they want including as stated in the report "music downloads". The fact that I have to download this same "music download" at some ungodly hour in the morning like some sleazy "neofite" is absolutely ridiculous. And like I'm going to backup a terabyte server over a 512 line to where, rofl, do these guys even work in the industry?
My 2c.

Just had a look at their site. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that you can only get the Night Rider service if your ADSL line is with Cybersmart. It further appears that to move your line to Cybersmart you have to sign a 24 month contract with them. Did I understand this correctly
I also want to know, how much of an issue would it be should you later want to move you line to someone else again or even back to Telkom?

Cybersmart are good but they exclude all their 4 meg users
can not get cap extender!
can not get night rider!
they only advantage i have with them is the cheap rate for a 4 meg line and 3 gig account combined.
so if u dont use a 4 meg line its a good offer and a great isp but how long would a 7.8 gig iso take to download on a 512k or 385k line cause it toke me 4 hours on a 4 meg line so you do the math.
if u are a heavy downloader like me its a waste of time!

Uhm... I'm a little confused here. How exactly does this service work? If you download non-stop on a 512k line from 1:00-7:59, you'd pull roughly 1.3GB. So, what happens at 8:00 if you had a 1GB account? Does it stop working until 1:00?

I think they just take your "night rider" usage say you downloaded 5gig and divide it by 5 so that means 1gig gets added to your usage stats
