I got AH mobile data when they first launched, then the issues came and I jumped ship. I paused my account(first mistake) thinking I'd be back when they got their house in order.

Little did I know, pausing just makes your account dormant and it will reactivate automatically with no reminder(seriously AH) but the worst part is that I got billed for 2 days the full amount not pro rata, also with no reminder I didn't have time to even use the data!

But thank you AH, I've marked this up to school fees and definitely canceled my account.

Yep, they caused me and some clients endless headaches too - not just with billing, but hosting problems and really useless tech support. ("Within a day" <- what a blatant joke) But that useless hosting support manager is probably still there to this day.

I'll never touch anything from them again.

A "pause" of 6 months? Seriously?
You couldn't make up your mind what to do with the account in that time?
Or did you just forget about it?

If you cancel the account they void the sim so if you do have to reactivate, they'll have to courier you a new sim.

I did forget about it until I got the invoice.

One would think that simple common courtesy would dictate a reminder be sent before the "un-pausing" to clients... after all it is just only a client's money and data after all, regardless of the reason for the pause or the duration of such.

Ya boet... I guess the Afrihost idea of client convenience negates a simple reminder when a paused account becomes "un-paused" again, or is about to.

2 days where you could have used your data but didn't ... ouch .. you poor thing. You must be devastated.

When paying for a full month that is certainly a problem.

AH just isn't the company it use to be.

The un-Pause date is selected by the user when the Pause is initially activated, however, you should definitely not have been billed the full R145 for the only 3-days of Mobile Data for the month of October. Could I ask that you please send me a PM with your account email address so that I can arrange the credit for you.

Thank you but my account is cancelled.
