All my data is gone

I know what has gone wrong. I have bought the data but it was never registered on the system. I followed all the prompts from the ussd commands and it said that I bought the bundle. But infact it did not go through. today when I bought another bundle the same happened again, I had to buy the bundle 6 times before it actually gone through. There must be some glitch in their systems. I just think it is unfair that the customer must pay for their stupid systems that is not working, but then again if there is a mistake in their system and I get more data than I am suppose to get, I would not be complaining.

I think I know what happened, there is a final confirmation step that is very easy to skip or to cancel. Got me a couple of times last time I used USSD to buy a bundle for my phone (only 10Mb bu still).

Now at work we are playing we pinless Data recharges, really awesome and the reason why i no longer use the USSD menu. Not so sure when somebody will make such a service public facing but would be great.

There are 2 confirmation steps, the first asking if you really want to buy a bundle, yes I am damn sure, and the second asking if you are sure you want a bundle that will expire at the end of next month, yes I am damn sure.

With the 8 steps it now takes to buy a bundle it easily takes longer than 90 seconds and if you don't know there is another 2 confirmations can miss them when the menu goes dead. I mean really now, there should not be a data bundle subscription for prepaid and the standard and advanced bundles should by now all be advanced anyway with the price we pay. The last step can be combined into a single one, after going through all the steps to buy it one would think I really DO want it and can just confirm it once.

No antivirus? :erm:
Believe it or not you're more likely to get your data chewed up with an antivirus than without one. Despite what you have heard viruses are rather rare and most people who employ a bit of savvy would not be exposed to one. Even if they were it will most likely not use the internet.

....until the day you plug in an infected USB stick/flash drive/etc into said PC...

In my experience most (but not all) flash drive/computer system I've encountered had malware on it.

nice post? is this normal reply coming from vodacom? thats more like a cruel joke or something

Why?

No matter who your ISP is , you should always be aware of what can cause high data usage.
