Anyone else with Sunsynk log data disappearing again?

Been stable without any known logging issues since late June, but today my PV and load values simply reset to zero around 3pm... In the past it was only load that went awol, thus first time for me that PV total logged for the day also disappears.

The Day graph still displays it all as it happened throughout the day, so it's technically there, but totals are incorrect. :unsure:
 
Why would the inverter do this ? It's said to keep battery at 100% and yet even though grid is there it's taking from the battery. What model battery?

I've wondered about that myself. I suspect the BMS might be balancing?

That's similiar to what I was experiencing when my batteries weren't balanced.
 
Family saw their arses yesterday - ran out of juice 10 minutes before LS ended - I wasn't at home and the family went 'bos' with the oven, hairdryers, hot water, dishwasher, etc during loadshedding.

Would usually have been okay but we had unexpected cloud cover that killed the PV.



In some ways it's a pity it was only a 10 minute outage....

Due to my family previously draining the battery on my mobile power station, I've decided to purchase a Philips Hue light that integrates with sunsynk and changes color of the light bulb according to the battery level. Additionally, I've learned that Sunsynk have plans to release an integrated smart plug as well.

Is it not just floating? I often see my AM-2's get to 100% and then float between 99 and 100 when there is plenty of pv available. In fact, they generally sit at 99% more often than 100%.

Granted it's only been a couple of days (and admittedly not the sunniest), but when mine gets to 100% it still takes in quite a lot of power for 10 or 15 minutes.
 
Watch the battery voltage. 100% SOC is not necessarily full until voltage is around 53.77V and even then there is a saturation.
Good point, I didn't think to check the voltage.

This is what my history tells me for the few minutes that I was at 100% yesterday:

So it looks like the voltage does take a while to settle to something stable. In my case it was around 53.2V though.

Something looks off about that graph. You shouldn't see over the threshold, maybe a 10mV or so but not to the extent you are showing. It also depends on what your batteries floating/saturation voltage is. Mine are Hubble AM2's so thats why I say the 53.77V as per their spec sheet.

Are you using solar assistant or solarman? I'm using the latter and the update rate is quite slow (1m). And I suspect not entirely accurate either.
 
To all the previous posters to my question. Thanks

They are Hubble batteries and the only reason I picked it up was due to looking at it at that time. For my 2 pack hubble, at 100% (after batteries stop balancing, accepting charge) the voltage is usually 53.8- 53.9v and they were already fully balanced before that .

So I don't need to worry much for now :)
 
Not exact but my SOC reaches 100% about 5 mins before the 53.77V. And thats because of my "topup". If its a bad day and one has been missed , it can be a lot longer

Ignore the down spikes, seems to be a funny telemetry artifact I get now and then with my HA.

Yes for how long are they planning?

Not a attack on you buy every installer I have spoken to since beginning of this year says "next month they are releasing it" so which next month is it?

I have encountered multiple disappointments from purchasing products that were advertised to include additional features in future updates. One such instance involved a TP-Link router which claimed expandability with a mesh extender. However, later on, they retracted this claim, citing incompatibility with the chip. Additionally, I experienced a letdown with an Nvidia Spot that was supposed to connect to Nvidia Shield but was never actually produced.
My main takeaway from these experiences is to refrain from buying products solely based on promises of future updates or features.

I’m writing this post out of curiosity. I just got my Sunsynk installed into the DB (no panels as yet). Initially, one set of plugs was not working and the electrician had to come back and fix that problem. However, while he was connecting it, he caused some sort of surge and since then one plug socket trips the earth leakage if anything is connected to it. He will come to fix it hopefully by the end of the week, but I’m wondering if anyone knows what could have led to this problem.
 
I've been getting random earth leakage trips at least once a week since my inverter was installed (never happened before this). It doesn't happen when grid is restored after loadshedding but instead randomly during the day. I don't see any spikes or dips in the grid voltage and frequency either.

I've removed all the surge protector plugs because I read on Powerforum those can sometimes cause the EL to trip but that didn't help.

Also read it can happen if the inverter pushes back to grid due to spiky workloads but sometimes the trips happen when there's no real load (<500w idle draw). I also tried increasing grid trickle feed to 30W but it didn't make a difference.

When the EL trips, the inverter reports grid as disconnected so I'm wondering if the inverter was wired incorrectly or if this is normal. Should the inverter be on the EL line or fed directly from mains?
