Not really just has everything in it you need to know, consider a lot of members on here as your cheat sheet. I usually ask and get some great answers that the manual cannot really give you.Does the manual have a cheat sheet?
The whole manual is only like 30 pages (mostly pictures), and about 10 of them are relevant post install. It's really not a big ask to page through it and familiarise yourself with a pretty important piece of equipment. Don't be that guy...Does the manual have a cheat sheet?

How does one fix a "trip" on an old meter? Also, what does it look like? I have an old Siemens prepaid meter that's hardwired I think - wouldn't mind saving some more if I can...Turned off my grid trickle yesterday (set to 0 now). So far no trips on my older school prepaid meter. Tired of seeing the .2kwh grid in my stats every day and don't want to keep turning my mains on and off based on weather.
Will see how it goes over the weekend.
Never had a trip. Hopefully it would reset itself after a certain amount of time. Plan B maybe call they council and they provide a reset code. How does one fix a "trip" on an old meter? When my boet still owned a townhouse in Cambridge, BCM changed his Conlog to the new one which has the remote to enter the token voucher. I remember a letter going to all BCM ratepayers advising of this new meter rollout at that time. Are BCM going to tell you to replace your prepaid meter with a smart meter soon? Eskom has just announced it to us and we have a year to comply.
So far it’s around R17k for engineer sign off (structural and electrical) and R9k for DGSL installation and then there’s Eskom’s fees. I just bit the bullet and I think I’m the first in my area to get it done. Fortunately they already replaced my smart meter. Apparently that’s another R8k “deposit” for the prepaid meter users.
Engineer is from EL and reckons BCM are adopting similar stuff to CoCT.
