100%. One would expect an installer to spec all items above the fuse rating though. I just checked my settings. Max discharge is at 480 amps and max charge at 300 amps. The few times it has charged from the grid I've never seen it draw more than 3kW and my panels won't ever get near that. I've gone through 30 days of daily records and highest amp draw was around 48 amps per string.

48a per string? Sounds very high/impossible if you have a deye/sunsynk inverter.
I know some victron mppts support high amps but the cabling needed for house runs will make it very expensive
Mine is Victron. Must admit I'm scratching my head a bit with the readings. These are max readings so they don't happen together. i.e. 171 V and 64 amps with a max power of 3220kW.

From what I have seen in the official SS Facebook group, there are 8kw's a plenty, but SS and Hubble batteries are properly scarce.
Panels are an even worse story...

And if you looking for specific batteries and inverter combinations, then you might struggle. But if you flexible you should be able to get an inverter and battery no problem.

Yes day was the first time that both indoor and ourdoor technicians were at the house at the same time and they seem to have tripped the main swith on the old dB.
We only noticed when the inverter started an alarm (low battery) and tuned off the power in the house early this morning.
I cannot get the inverter to charge the battery, it insists there is no power from the grid available. See below
Is there a setting that need to be changed to force it to accept grid power?
On an aside, for some or other reason they have not installed the CT coil. Is this a contributing factor?

Is the circuit breaker leading into the grid not perhaps tripped?
The AC light is off, the lcd says off grid.
Your issue is there is no grid.
Check that it hasnt tripped at all the power entry points ie property boundary/meter and db.
The DB inside is up and the house running as per normal
The "Earth Leakage" is the one that tripped yesterday

Generally are returned rate is extremely low. The problem is our sales, extremely high even 0.004% results in a lot of returns.
As we really appreciate your support of our brand we have made a decision with all our major distributors. Any customer who has returned an inverter and it has not been repaired or looked at for over two weeks they have proof of the item being returned to our service centre our distributor will offer a brand-new replacement. subject to Ts and Cs
No customer should wait more than two weeks to have an inverter, repaired or replaced. That is my commitment.

I'm not sure how your wiring is configured, but your inverter is clearly not getting any love from the grid at the moment.

It is set like that so that the house is live, with it down or connected the house goes dark.
I'm wondering if there is a fuse blown between the new dB and the inverter

Just had my system turn off on me, all my fault though.
Loadshedding and geyser was on, oven was on, microwave was going, sun went behind the clouds and batteries couldn't keep up
It all came back pretty quickly and my smart switch on the geyser automatically returns to an off state so that's actually convenient. I'll have to set my HA automation to always turn off the geyser during loadshedding, and not just at night like I have it now.

Thanks for the assistance, between the electrician's mistakes, one of the new breakers failing in the 'up' position and them having disconnected the main db trip switch, the issues have been resolved.
