I had number 5 set to 0W and inverter functioned as normal, so I trusted this guy's interpretation:
Mine too. You will detect a tiny little bleed back to the grid after a heavy load is terminated, this is normal and no cause for concern.

As per manual (attached), this is a 0.5C battery. Max charge /discharge is 100A, and it does not specify for how long, but it is typically only a couple of seconds. Discharge/charge 50A continuous, so for 2 in parallel, I would keep it at 100A (the nominal setting), especially for longevity.

1C according to the manual

Something just blew in my DB and inverter saying F18 :( barely any load was running so I suspect a wiring fault.
No power. Will call installer in the AM. Not fun..

This is 2 days after install completed.
AC overcurrent :( Probably a direct short somewhere. Take a photo of the DB when he whips the covers off?

They just left! But yes he said the same thing, all good now. He will come through again on Monday to sort out some other electrical work. I do trust him and don't think the work is unnecessary. This house has some funnies but I want to get it all properly sorted now.

On the battery, yeah sucks that it doesn't give more clarity on the max discharge. I only go over 5kw when both kettle and geyser are running, so for the sake of not tripping when loadshedding, I'm ok with the risk of 150A discharge. Kettle shouldn't take more than 5mins.

On the "power limiter", the manual seems like it hasn't been updated from the older settings screen? So will leave at 0W, but doesn't matter much since I have limit to load now anyway. Everything on essential it is!

I've been having this issue where, when the battery SOC is 30% or less then sometimes it'll dramatically drop to 10% or 20% out of nowhere.

The Sunsynk doc does say that the charge/discharge amps should be set to Ah battery size x 50%, which in the case of the Freedom Won is 200Ah x 50% = 100A.

Can someone confirm please?

Good, then you have good battery comms.

Excessive charge / discharge is should be controlled by the BMS, but some, like Pylontechs, have very weak implementations.

200A / 200A, which is way more than the 8K SS can handle.

Yes they do, if you want to set them lower. Also if you want to differentiate charge settings from grid and genny (the second tab Batt Charge screen).
 
Is it a common occurrence for the battery SOC to suddenly tank from the 30s to the 20s or teens?

I've had this issue a few times now over the last couple of months and I'm trying to figure out what to do to prevent it happening again.

Today was the worst, it dropped from 35% to 12%, which is below the shutdown setting so I basically had no power at all during loadshedding.

The next time that it does this, take a pic of the LiBMS screen. It's what the battery's BMS is reporting. You will probably see that it is the BMS that is reporting the SoC. Get the battery's supplier to sort it out, may need a firmware update, or a checkout for a bad cell.

This may surprise the Hubble Bashing Brigade, but yes, surprise surprise, it does actually happen to other battery manufacturers too :unsure:

No, it should not do that, unless you have used a massive amount of energy in that time. The next time that it does that, take a pic of the LiBMS screen. It's what the battery's BMS is reporting. You will probably see that it is the BMS that is reporting the SoC. Get the battery's supplier to sort it out, may need a firmware update, or a checkout for a bad cell.
