You are I think responsible for nearly many of us looking at SunSynk when nobody knew who they were and it was your experience sharing that I think helped so many of us, so thank you again!!

With my first solar install, We had 2x 3kwh pylon batteries installed. At the time I did not know it can be mixed with bigger batteries so I sold it and had 3x 5kwh batteries installed about 6 months after. I regret my decision tbh. I often see reasonably priced second hand 3kwh pylontech batteries on Market place. Would gave been much cheaper to upgrade every time extra capacity was needed than to fork out 26k plus for an additional 5kwh battery.

About a month ago, I had an 8kw Sunsynk inverter installed. However, there was an issue with one of the electrical sockets consistently tripping the earth leakage when a load was put on that particular socket. Despite numerous assurances from the initial electrician who installed the system that he would investigate and address the problem, he failed to follow through and never showed up.
In light of this situation and after a month, I decided to enlist the services of a different electrician. This new electrician identified a potential problem: the inverter was outputting 120v even when the switch on the neutral was turned off. To rectify the situation, the second electrician has now bypassed the inverter, asserting that it is faulty, as when it is bypassed there is no backflow of electricity.
Given the circumstances, my next step is to pursue a replacement for the faulty inverter. I will need to engage with the original installer to address this matter and arrange for the necessary replacement - now how to get him to come

Step 1 - check that you have a working earth-neutral bond.

What's intriguing is that I opted for the electrician based on their presence on Sunsynk's list of approved installers and a positive recommendation from a friend. However, when I verified today, I observed that their name is no longer featured on the website's list.

If you have a multimeter, check your voltage across neutral and earth during loadshedding. From what you've said I'm expecting that to be non-zero, which would then confirm your problem.

Until December, when they change the SCADA system,my area won't experience load shedding. However, we still face frequent blackouts, so I'm planning to check on this when it occurs. Unfortunately, I don't have a multimeter. Following the second electrician's resolution of the wiring issue that was causing the earth leakage to trip, the surge protector plugs began displaying all three lights when the plug switch was turned off. This returned to normal after he bypassed the inverter.

I guess to check you can just turn off the input breaker to the inverter. This will have the same effect for purposes of checking the earth-neutral bond.
I'd definitely check this before looking for an inverter replacement. It would be very weird for the inverter to output 120V by "accident". It sounds far more like either a wiring or settings error than an inverter error (although I guess this isn't completely impossible).
Where are you based? We can recommend someone who knows their stuff accordingly.

As long as you can isolate both live and neutral to the inverter, you can test this. Drop the main breaker where eskom enters the house. This is usually a double pole isolator. You should be able to easily confirm that by looking at it if tou open the DB. Does it have both live and neutral coming in?
Once done, either test as @Speedster suggested between neutral and earth or plug in one of those Ellies surge arrestor plugs with LEDs. If earth is lit then it's the earth neutral bonding that's not done. My sparky just did that at the inverter itself. He removed the earth neutral bond relay and hardwired it as a permanent solution. Earth Neutral bonding usually happens outside your home on the Eskom infrastructure, hence why you get floating earth if load shedding kicks in while you don't have e-n bonding on premises.

So from 9pm to 5pm my house runs from the batteries and PV if it is available, between 4am and 5pm the geyser runs at 2kw and then my Wife if she gets up for work will use the kettle, no alarms or weird lights or issues sofar.
But the other day we were running geyser, microwave, normal house load and when my daughter used her hair dryer the earth leakage tripped. Also fairly sure the battery was charging from the grid at that time

Could be faulty hair dryer switch causing arcing to earth when switching on. Could also be touchy earth.

Most likely the zero export power. You can change the value to your liking. It's there to prevent sensitive municipal meters from tripping if there are short moments of grid feedback

Oh sorry. My bad. I missed the load bit. The negative value there leads me to think an incorrectly installed CT coil.
Solarman & solarman business look fine. Not seeing any export on the inverter either which is why I thought it might be an app issue. Inverter is carrying non essentials fine and not seeing any export on the inverter other than small momentary exports on big load changes. Which I think is normal reading through the various threads.
