All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

So I have a 3 phase electricity supply and I was told I should look at the 12kW inverter since it is 3-phase.
That is around R50k for the 12kW, but if I add another R4k I can get the 20kW one. The price difference is "negligible" compared to a 5kW vs 8kW ones.
What are the issues I might face with the 20kW one?
The more important question is whether you need 3 phase electricity? Do you have any devices that require 3 phase?

It is a new house build and the electricians installed 3 phase. I think read somewhere I could be a hassle to convert it to single phase?

I will be installing 5x aircons in the future as where I live gets very hot in summer.

My house has 3 phase supply. When I installed solar I just moved everything to the one. So the other 2 have been dormant for more than a year. No need to convert the supply, just use one.

I came home today, to find that the neighbours have cut down all their trees which stand between my panels and North East! Not only that, but a section of roof that was always in the shade, will now have full sunshine.

I think I need a second string of panels now.
Finally managed to find Longi panels at a decent price. Much lower than when my system was installed in February, but not as cheap as Canadian or JA can be had these days. Going with 3 extra panels and my original installer will be able to come install in about a week's time. Will then have a NW facing string of 5x Longi 550w and my new NNE string will have 3x original 550w Longi plus the 3x new 555w (couldn't get 550's, but the Longi HiMO 535-555w models are all compatible together on the same string as the VOC is nearly identical betwen them all - I checked).

My current single string is 5x facing NW and 3x facing NNE. Major problem with morning wake up as the 3x NNE are struggling with the 5x "still asleep /still shaded" NW panels on the same string. This will finally be rectified when adding the 3x extra panels and in hindsight, was an installation error by my installer as they should have discussed splitting over 2 strings with me in February, even at my extra cost as their quote was for a single string. But we learn....

Does anyone know why my batteries are only charging to 80%?

Deye 12kw
3 x Volta 5kw

Settings:

Batt Capacity: 200ah
Max Charge: 40
Max Discharge: 200ah

What does the LiBMS screen tell you?

Which screen is this?
This one:

All of these values come directly from the BMS. If the BMS is instructing the inverter to stop charging, then the inverter will obey it.

For example, the following screen shows that the BMS is allowing charging at 50A, discharge at 25A and the SoC is 38%:

Are you charging from pv or grid?

Grid. For some reason, since I got the inverter, my data logger works for a few hours and then goes offline. I then have to pair it again. So I've just left it cause it got frustrating.

Today, Solar panels were installed but not yet linked. So I figured let me pair solarman again and hope that it works. That's where I saw the batteries hanging at 80%. Solarman app went offline again after a few hours.

Could you send a pic of your system work mode screen. I'm assuming your installer has set SoC to 80%
