Anyone else having issues with their SunSynk app or website not working again? Maybe another SunSynk server outage?
Yip. Again... Round 3 in 10 days (that I know of) for me.
Wonder how much of logged data will be awol this time.

(seems to be back up again now after an hour or so, but portal and app still refreshing very slow for me)
 
Have you guys seen that SunSynk only keep graph "minute by minute" data for 30 days now?

Try go back to 2023 to see your graph data. Nada.

Only the monthly total bar graph data is kept for longer.

I see that now as well. Interesting. Wonder how long the monthly data goes back for.
 
Mmm, interesting, Eskom has started load limiting in my area today. If I we go above 10A power draw we're supposed to get a warning to reduce usage otherwise actual loadshedding will kick in for 30 minutes at a time

I wonder if it's possible to set up an automation to set the max grid power available, then you could just set that to 10A during this period and back up when it's over.

Guess the issue is triggering the automation unless you just base it on time or integrate with ESP or something.

I don't think there's a change on the feed from eskom's side.

Supposedly your lights are supposed to flicker once you go over 10A and if you don't rectify your power gets cut for 30 minutes.

they were supposed to start with us this week but pushed to 06 Feb but for a trial this week I have been using Grid shaving at 2300w - so far no issues i might have to set battery usage a bit less then i was using before as it now dips in more might have issues when cloudy.

I wouldn't bother TBH. The 10A would just supplement your backup load if needed.

And if it goes off, it goes off. It was going off anyway before load limiting...

Today was entertaining. The amount of people bleating about the load limiting on the community groups is bizarre, many even contacting eskom to opt out all together.

When it's sunny my 5k inverter handles it no issues, but at night my 12000btu non-inverter aircon chows my 5kwh battery very quick.

You should calculate BTU from floor space in M2.
I went for 36k because of an open plan room with 70 square meters of space to cool. Once you have the BTU, you can look at the options.

From that link, what I can gather is that that system won't cool when it's heavily overcast and it won't cool at night - correct?

What I love about this aircon is that it's uber silent by comparison to traditional aircons and when it's up to temp, it idles nicely at under 1kw consumption. Peak demand is around 3kw.

My Non-inverter 9kBTU chews around 1kw when the compressor runs. I'll never get a non-inverter aircon again. Also, if you're at the coast, Bluchem treatment is worth it.

I wanted one when I had it installed but was talked out of it because apparently they have a tendency to break easily and cost a lot to fix. I was sceptical but after talking to a few friends, some of them have had this issue.

10A... is that a joke? My geyser would consume more than that. My Kettle would almost consume that.
30 minutes load shedding for who? Only you I assume?
