Hi all,

I'm hoping that someone on this site can provide me with information and solutions or at least contact information of an Altech Autopage Manager of some sorts.

After logging numerous calls and having to go public on Hello Peter, again, there is an ongoing dispute with Autopage:

The system should confirm that my contract date was last upgraded to a blackberry in January 2012.
July/August 2012 an addition was added to my contract for a 3G USB.

On the 3d and 4th of July 2013, as per the "Hello Peter" post, I inquired regarding the end date of my contract and a consultant returned my call confirming contract expiry date January 2014 - this should also be on the system as the team always confirm calls to be recorded.

In September 2013, a consultant at the Altech Autopage at the Sandton branch, also confirmed contract ending Jan 2014 as the original contract is 24 months and was signed January 2012.
As the current situation stands, I'm not interested in an upgrade. My contract expires end of January 2014 and I'd prefer to discontinue however, I've had a Client Liaison Consultant by the name of Marcos Adonis phone me this morning to say the contract only expires in May 2014 which does not make sense at all.

Knowing how 'scamful' Altech Autopage is, I'm sure this is just another way of bullying a customer to continue contracts and all that. And I have so many emails relating to 'no-replies' after logging calls on their system. Why have the option of posting to their website if one has to post 5 times or revert to public ranting before anyone responds anyway?

I'm honestly done dealing with them - if anyone can refer me to someone that can clear this matter up once and for all, that will be much appreciated. I can only think that the next step will be to go to the newspapers??!!?? :(

Hey Mcredible - sorry about the frustration. I'd like to try to help you out, can you send me your contact details in a private message?

Hi SenorBlinky

FYI, this was my response this morning after this Marco guy said that Altech Autopage does 4 month early upgrades, but then adding the 4 months to the original contract...
"As per attached information, the upgrade for a new phone was done on the 10th of Jan 2012( I haven't been offered an upgrade since then) and the original contract date is 5 May 2010 - not the 14th of May as per your email. That said, it is still unacceptable for two Autopage employees to confirm an expiry date of January 2014. Please also elaborate on your term used for 'migration'. I'm not extending to another contract - the phone associated with this contract is broken and didn't even last a full 2 years which means I'm still paying for a phone that doesn't work. To clarify, inclusive of the 4 months that Autopage add as an early upgrade (which hasn't been communicated) the expiry date should be processed for 5 May 2014."

Thank you for trying to help - how do I send you info in a private message though? (newbie *facepalm*)

Not a worry, if you click on my name a little sub-menu should pop up. But I've already taken the liberty of mailing you.

I've got to give AutoPage credit... I've been with them for over 10 years and their service was horrible, shocking, nauseating, murder rampage inducing... BUT... Has really improved the last 3 years or so.

I'm also due for an upgrade, contacted them yesterday via mail, I want the Xperia Z1 Compact, someone phoned me today saying they don't know when it will be available, explained the current Sony specials and I said I'd like to wait for the Compact.

Previous upgrade was surprisingly easy and uncomplicated compared to previous times... I'm not saying the services is the best in the world, but at least now you get service, I was considering going to MTN directly but I might just stick with them if they don't let me down, my contract expires the end of the month.
