Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

Interesting...
Bytom (BTM) which afaik is a Chinese blockchain project has remained quite stable since November last year and been on an increase. Bulk of trading volume on Chinese exchanges (OKEx, gate.io, Huobi). Looking at the charts seems quite unaffected like a lot of coins / tokens are.

Getting a small amount of OriginTrail (TRAC) as hit heads down.

Used to manage and track supply & distribution chains. They've had some exposure winning a 2017 innovation award from Walmart & have some real-world test cases tracking produce.

Chart looks rough. Either very cheap right now or even cheaper in a weeks time. Hand on the parachute.

What makes origin trail better than Vechain and modum, if I may ask?

Haven't really compared or paid much attention to the other supply-chain projects. I like the look of the project, they seem very active with a decent history and it's a nice opportunity to get in early on something that has potential real-world utility & adoption. Also seems like it has decent room to grow still. Bit of an impulse buy :).

Also taking a look at swticheo exchange (SWH token). DEX based around NEO. Just gone live, don't currently hold any exchange-based tokens (too late for binance BNB now) so looking at various new exchanges seeing what's available. Price currently below ICO.

Edit: Two other exchange possibilities:

Everyone waiting for bitcoin to level out and head up again?
Sure is quiet in here.

For a brief moment today considered just dumping my ETN. Didn't. Have waited far too long.

Trying to decide between Switcheo, Qash and Dragonchain.

See a few people here still buying bunnycoins?
Anything else looking interesting?

Where u at Thor?

Not me, but nice movement today if you're holding :).

Yep, I hold a small amount, the price is going to run a bit until the “partner” announcement, so will hold on to it.

Long term I like the tech concept behind it though and hopefully it will gain wider adoption

Haven't used Bitfinex in a while.
Anyone been using them regularly the past few months - any issues with withdraw / deposits or anything else?

Haven't used them in a while also, but I've never had issues with deposits and withdrawals.

Seems people on ethOS having issues getting this right, so this is what you need to do.

In terminal:
sudo update-miner claymore-xmr

add the following line to your local/remote conf

claymore-xmr=flags -pow7 1

Strange the monero nethash hasn't changed after the fork. Maybe it takes some time to reflect.

720 blocks avg, so might take day or so.

Block time is very long now, as the difficultly is still high with much less hashing power.

Huge news from ETN. They have patent for instant payments and they will be forking asic resistance before june. Price up 20%

Also nice to see them addressing issues in their emails etc. Up until now they've somewhat avoided a lot of criticism so nice to see them opening up a bit. You still holding....were you ever? Mining ETN?

Sooooo....
Patent Pending Secured! We’ve worked on this since last year, it protects our cryptocurrency hybrid system that will allow us to provide INSTANT cryptocurrency payments as well as cryptocurrency subscription payments! It is a game changer for the entire cryptocurrency industry, when it comes to everyday use.

There is no other cryptocurrency that is poised to reach so many users, and there is no other cryptocurrency that has solved the problem of instantaneous transactions that will allow cryptocurrencies (not jut ours!) to be spent online or in shops, restaurants, cafés etc.
Gonna be interesting to see how they've built this. Seems like it's more than just transaction speed; some kind of trust mechanism that authorizes transactions before they've been sufficiently verified on the chain?
