I need a normal sim for laptop and sim for my Ipad from the same account - i currently have this with VC

Is it possible??

Not prepaid. Take a deal on laptop and WiFi to Ipad.
 
Maybe because your wording was "account". They hear this word, it means contract. But we have 8ta rep on the forum, it is more reliable source than call centre.

BTW, @OP - dual SIM on VC is only available on contract, not prepaid deals.

How about getting something like the Huawei B683 wifi router. That way you only need one sim and can use wifi from both your laptop and iPad to connect to router.

Would like to know if someone has done that with the 8ta promo. Would like to do something like that myself.

Because then you only have access when you are at home (or where ever the router is).
 
Hi there

Another suggestion which may be a little labour intensive - use your microSIM when you are out with the iPad and leave the outer part of the SIM in the router. When you are home, take you microSIM out of the iPad and put it in the router and use your WiFi when at home? This may not be a complete replacement for dual SIM, but our product development team are working on this.

I have been informed by 8ta that dual sim is possible. Sigh now is it so or??????

We do not have dual SIM. We are not sure who informed you of this, but this is not true.
