Am I crazy?

Well a simple google search reveals my profile, following the various threads I have visited and commented, anybody who knows me can sum up that I am Sudo Panic, haha guess you get to see the paranoia first hand.

:D I am speaking from a naive perspective so I get what you're saying. Also this being a tech forum who knows what the experts could uncover if they really wanted to.

Amber generally. Most blue-blocking glasses are worthless... You need a spectrogram to ensure they actually block most of the blue & green that prevents melatonin release. I have about 6 pairs of blue-blockers and those el-cheapos above are the best I've found.
I have blue light filtering lenses in my spectacles if that helps.

You need to get some help. Anxiety can be bad for the overall human condition. It seeps into your persona and can become unmanageable without professional help. How are things at work? Hostile environment? Any mental abuse from management?

My daughter who is is 23 and manages a franchise coffee shop has anxiety. Also an abusive boss. This boss is a piece of work. manipulative and big on mental abuse. I convinced my daughter to record some of the abuse confrontations and now after some convincing my daughter and some other staff are taking this b**ch to court.
Ironic that this abusive women's husband committed suicide.

Excellent, thank you @mister. I'm looking for a pair of blue light filter glasses too. Neon lights at wek, computer screen all day, tablet in the evening....

If I remember correctly you mentioned this in a thread before? Fml there's alot I'd like to talk about but cannot at the moment, if this does get leaked back to me it can be grounds for dismissal as violating the terms and conditions regarding privacy and discussing company politics online.

Well, it could be a placebo but I used to get really bad rings around my eyes and it seems to have gone down a bit since getting these new ones but that could just be the anti glare coating and "blue light filter" added into the lenses.

I wouldn't be surprised... high energy blue light destroys your skin as well as eyes! The test linked will probably indicate your specs are good for day use, but you will probably require something more heavy duty for night time to prevent melatonin issues.. The el cheapos I linked should fit over your specs.

Great info and links, tks @mister.

I've met @Gordon_R once.

I met @Sudo Panic at the 'non' get together at Banana Jam. Since we were the only two there, I had a long chat with him about various issues. I know enough to track him down, but would never do that out of respect for privacy.

There was a similar thread on this topic a few months ago, with related comments. I have some personal insights into these kinds of issues, and know that there are no magic solutions.

Disrupted sleep cycles are often a symptom of underlying anxiety, but the lack of sleep can also worsen the underlying condition. Short term treatments can help, but will not make the problem go away if the underlying stress remains.

Removing the stress causing factors may be the only long term solution, but this is not a decision that can be taken lightly. Sometimes the decision can be out of your hands, if you exhibit inappropriate behaviour, or have to be hospitalised.

It is hard to give specific advice over the Internet, but most of the quick solutions will not work. There are always family and friends who know more than random strangers on the internet.

For the record I have been in weekly psychotherapy for nearly 4 decades. Its not cheap, but along with some medication has kept me (mostly) sane. I have made some bad choices, but staying out of the corporate work environment for the last 2 decades was the biggest stress relief of all.

Hope that helps, and focuses the thread somewhat.
