Amazing Iburst Speed Test Results

This really amazed me. I've been having endless problems with very low speeds from iburst even while i had cap available, something like 0.38mbps.

Today after i had a call from someone in advanced support, i did yet another speed test and the results shocked me.

I've never had consistent results like this before and yes i did keep clearing my cache and history before every test.

So what changed?

How did you get those results?
 
I honestly dont know. After they called they asked me to do new speed tests and thats what im getting all the time.
 
Hey Bmax,

I dont recall the guys name but Gcebile got them to call me. My average speed on a good day used to be around 0.80 D3x. So this is beyond excellent for me especially after what i've been through.

It's very rare to find praises for the support guys at iburst but good one guys... thanks allot.
 
If iBurst works...it works really well. Just a pitty those times are so rare for some guys.
 
Very true Trix... Im just hoping my speeds stay like this.
 
Thanks SG-Atlanis, will drop Gcwlibe a pm and see what comes back.
I also used to get 0.80 now only 0.30 on a good day, even went as far as wasting money on a flat panel antenna to try increase signal but to no avail (was worse).

Hope they sort it out for you bro. I battled for a while at .30... was not a nice feeling... but this is spectacular now.

sriously? i nver hit more the 0.80mbps Download speed so what did they do

I dont know. i had a problem with very slow speeds. sent a message to iburst, someone from advanced support called. i did another speed test and presto.
 
So, SG-Atlantis, you never moved your modem, or touched your MTU (;)) settings, or switched off your modem for 5 minutes and back on, or stood on your head and wistled....uhmm nevermind. My point is, you didn't do anything on your side, they did something and now it works perfectly?

Heck, they should do whatever they did to you...to their whole customer base!

Hey Trix,

All i did was changed the mtu settings on my side to 1392 but that was after the first test was done. I did another 2 test with the new mtu settings but you can see the results.... there really is not much difference.... oh i did try and do a head stand that... awesome fail.
 
Quick questions?

1. Are you still getting those speeds?

2. Do you get those speeds during the day as well, or only in the evening?

changed my mtu setting and tried the headsand, add an attept to whistle out my ass too, and nope no improvement.
 
Tried MTU... Had 1352, changed to 1392 -- previous went the best.
 
Hey sorry for the delayed response Madhawk. Had issues with my pc so its been a while.. yeah i still get those speeds even from a laptop using wireless a router. Sad part is Iburst failed when they removed the free throttled service.
