That won't change. People seem to think they're getting access to the Amazon US catalogue at local shipping costs but like every country they operate in it will be a separate catalogue with local sellers which in our case will be the same Takealot sellers.

Yeah, so unless they have free or much cheaper delivery, greater range of products at better prices, it seems they will only entertain those who left Takealot for principle reasons.

It's more than just the principle. Takealot's conditions are very restrictive. Just the ability to control shipping and returns can make a business viable so while it is unlikely we'll suddenly have access to a better range of products it may be better and cheaper than on Takealot.
