Glad it worked

B006 is actually the US one. Not sure if exactly the difference between the two are - some ppl say they put different SIMs in the US and international ones. Maybe it also has something to do with the 3G frequencies - 2100/850mhz vs 2100/900mhz?

Anyways, Amazon does allow you to ship either the US or international ones to SA so it probably doesn't really matter which one you have

I also was silly enough not to include a cover with mine, and cant find it locally. A stop gap I'm using (untill Christmas) is an A5 diary - the one with the leather exterior and paper on the inside that you can remove.
Fits the kindle well enough for travelling with it.

I couldn't find a local supplier and the cheapest I could find abroad was for about $10 (not sure about quality).

Must agree!! All he is actually doing is providing links to the Kindles on Amazon's page with his Amazon Associates ID attached - that way he gets a bit of a kick back from sales generated from his site I know, 'coz I actually have an Associates account too

You should be able to pick it up cheaper byer from Amazon direct. Or try theri Kindle South Africa parther - prices start at around R970 for the wifi model and R1250 for the wifi 3G models. Much cheaper.

The real danger with a site like that is that the links might take you to a false Amazon site where your credit card details are harvested and you may never see that Kindle you think you bought. One has to be super careful these days.

True - you have to be so careful nowadays... His links are "legit" but most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference if it was a phishing scam or not...
