So I believe I've been suffering from these for about 2 years and the specialist I saw only recommened a change of diet and or surgery.

I did some research and I see there are easier options that dont require surgery which I want to try first.

I was wondering if I needed to see a specialist again in order to get prescribed these creams ( Rectogesic or Anoheal) or if just going to a GP is fine. And what should I explain to them?

Doc told me I had that but the Surgeon told me, nope, it's Hidradenitis suppurativa

Gave me schedule 5 pimple cream (the most painful thing you could possibly imagine is applying that stuff) and told me to wash the area daily with bioscrub.

The bioscrub ended up being the long term solution
