ANC calls for probe after Chris Hani monument vandalised

I don't know what happened, I never said I do. What I am standing on is that it was not a coincidence.

Why, what, and when exactly it happened are questions whoever is behind this will be able to answer.
Ruf weens don't speak.

Looks like garden variety vandalism and lack of maintainance. Nothing political IMO.
The ANC's track record on maintenance speaks for itself. Eveh useful building infrastructure, like that of PRASA, and the Nelson Mandela bridge.

Quality workmanship #nokickbacks

Pull off some tiles but ignore the pictures of Hani?

Yeah I'd also ignore the pictures of Hani and just pull down some random tiles if I was trying to make a point

Then why just the tiles on one side?

Why not a sledge hammer to the face???

Pity they didn't "vandalise" the POS' face on the floor mounted piece of the monument

Fkn lazy vandals!

This.

Any semi-competent vandal would have drawn a penis on Hani's face with an axe.

Ja nee that's why i am being cremated. All the cemeteries has gone to chit. People i know gut the grass etc themselves around their loved ones graves. Fscking bull chit.
If they are brave enough to go to a graveyard..

Is this the start of the new high speed rail link?
To the smart cities?

The right way would probably have been studs through the tiles into the frame and the grouting just for appearance and water proofing. But that's just my layman's opinion.
Agreed but obviously time consuming and potentially a few broken tiles. Alternative may be a two part construction epoxy; lots available but most are expensive; hence maybe quoted on but not used; just a dollop of ANC standard daga; plaster sand with a shake of an empty cement bag over it.

Just go look at any of the other graveyards in the country - they are now squatter camps. You dare not go into Brixton Cemetery without security
Or live nearby cemeteries like Westpark , when an ANC "cadres" funeral is held there they in the habit of firing weapons into the air hitting residents homes and even injuring some with police standing idly by.

The memorial takes the form of a circle to symbolize unity, equality and inclusion. The five circles represent the five decades of the life shared so selflessly. The circular stairs encourage interactions, illustrating his warm personality, hospitality and philosophy of sharing.

Oh, dear. Absolutely no mention of his central role in the Angolan Camp Quatro murders in 1984 of an unknown number of MK mutineers who he promised nothing would happen to if they lay down their weapons.

Some extracts from Paul Trewhela's book on the camps:

In 1981 began a time of terror and death for ANC members in exile. In February a strong ANC National Executive Committee entourage which included President Tambo made the rounds of all ANC camps in Angola.....

.....I became aware of these developments by word of mouth, but I was to discover later on, by personal experience, the terror of Quatro, to name but one death camp. People were removed from amongst us -- taken to Quatro or Camp 13 -- and disappeared forever without reason. Many of them were slaughtered by one means or another and their ultimate destination was a shallow grave. We heard rumours of execution by being buried alive, amongst many other techniques beyond civilized imagination. The purge created great fear amongst all of us, to the point where the smallest criticism, such as of badly prepared food, was seriously reconsidered by every individual, for one could never be certain that a 'best friend' would keep his mouth shut.....

....Our own security people became exceedingly arrogant, to the point where an innocent slip of the tongue or even a simple gesture could land you in a torture cell at Quatro. Security men of the lowest rank and intelligence -- fourteen to eighteen year olds -- became our masters, with the power of life or death in their hands. They acted on a mood with impunity.....

....Oliver Tambo visited Pango [Camp] at the height of the terror. The path from the entrance to the admin building was lined -- like a scene from 'Spartacus' -- with men, bloodied and filthy, hanging from trees. When his entourage arrived at admin, where I was officer on duty, Tambo's chief of staff told us that there would be a meeting at 'the stage' (a clearing in the jungle..

Yes, rich history, but that was intended mostly to inform you of who got the tender to build the monument.

Ah yes. Seen many of these websites. Typical BEE or BEE front website with ANC connections which is easily seen by the following characteristics:

Single page website
Government contracts
No physical address
Links to completed projects only

And, of course:

We are listed on National Treasury’s Central Supplier database and are a B-BBEE Level 4 contributor: 100% procurement recognition.

Note the contracts are in Gauteng. I wonder who their facilitator might bee?
