The ANC's bombing of civilian targets, Camp Quatro atrocities argue against the idea of a previously principled ANC in my opinion. I'm not questioning the justness of the ANC fight against apartheid, but the nostalgia of an largely honorable ANC is misplaced (IMO)

It was largely honorable party even with the painful decision to take up the armed struggle. I did not say they were perfect but all they did was toward a common goal.

That is almost the point of Youth wings of political parties. They should be questioning the politics of their elders.
For example: The decision to take up and armed struggle was taken by Mandela's generation in opposition to the elder Luthuli's ideals.

Not quite the same times, j4sk. This isn't the armed struggle, this is politics. A party divided, is a party weakened. In joining the ANC you agree to their policies, which does not discourage constructive debate and criticism but does insist it be done in a way that is not damaging to the overall image of the party. So in joining you do not agree to be a mindless sheep, but you also agree not to bring the party into disrepute by opposing the principles in a public manner. In conclusion, the party may be at loggerheads with eachother, but it should never become widespread public knowledge.

So then even though it may not be an ideal solution, you'd support a new armed struggle to rid the country of its current corrupt regime?

Let's just get it all out there... Malema's mine-owning "black diamonds" can't afford the debt anymore and by nationalising the mines, it becomes the state's debt (and therefore, the tax-payers'). If he achieves this, those buddies are going to shower him with Range Rovers, island holidays and expensive properties which are all registered in trust funds.

Aside from loads and loads of blustering hot air and noise, which tangible changes or improvements has Malema delivered? Why-why-why does he still have so much support, when it's very clear that he is not actually representing anyone except himself and his super-rich buddies?

IMHO.. he is promosing people free stuff, riches & houses etc. All they need to do is support him. And when he gets rich and they still stay poor, he'll continue blame the white devil... (like the current goverment is doing to cover they butts) . Just blameshift..

No. It is possible (in theory) to legitimately vote them out, why would we need to take up arms when we can let democracy do its work.
