Zille should not have referred to things like piped water and transport infrastructure etc because the comrades never understood them and never cared if they went to rack & ruin after being looted. Look at Water and Sanitation under the mismanagement of Nomvula Mokonyane for a good example.

Zille should rather have referred to benefits that the comrades do understand like expensive suits, booze, cars and hotels and a new plane for the chief.

The holocaust helped accelerate the formation of Israel but the plans to seize Palestine from its inhabitants were formulated in the late 1800s and the end of WW1 opened the way for implementation.

From the time of the second British occupation of the Cape in 1806 the Boers had become increasingly unhappy with laws passed by the new power and this prompted the great trek of 1835 over a ten year period.

Until the British occupation the Boers were happy in the Cape and had no inclination to leave but the territory that they moved into was mostly a desolate wasteland due to the marauding impis of Shaka and Mzilikaze.

Colonialism effectively started in 1879 with the British victory at the Battle of Ulundi.
