Android 9 does not support call recording

Just set acr to record via "Voice Communication (Software)" and your sorted.

Yup, working fine on Android 10 as well, Huawei. (With the built in Recorder.)

Nope. I sold my Mi 9T Pro and bought a Mi 9T instead which came with the Miui dialler and call recording.

But for the future, I am worried, because every new Xiaomi Global Rom phone I have watched a review/unboxing of has had the stock Android dialler on the home screen and therefore no call recording!

been following up on the same. seems like they implementing this on the flagship devices, not mid range.

I don't know, do you think you're the "police now" based on your "need" for call recordings?

This is more of a privacy issue because of the exploitation of dodgy apps, not to mention dodgy people.

Invest in a virtual PABX that does call recordings for you if you "need it for work" so badly. It's cheap and you can access this from a PC, phone or cellphone and always be reachable for "your work"

Or. You know, don't upgrade to android 9? *shrug
 
Handset manufacturers will eventually bring call recording back as a stock feature in their devices. Most of them already taking massive knocks on sales for high end devices. Most companies and people around the world no longer have a need for these high end devices with the call recording disabled.

Over and above this, rumour has it that Google may be looking themselves at returning call recording in a future update. They are apparently taking a knock on users leaving them due to ending this feature.
 
on a havoc custom rom on android 9 on my op3t, i was able to record calls

it's for things like this that i look to a phone that has no issue with rooting
