Android Battery Percentage (Advise Needed): SOLVED

How to calibrate LG G4 battery without root access?
Follow these Steps to calibrate your LG G4 Battery Performance:

  • Discharge your LG G4 fully until it turns itself off.
  • Turn it on again and let it turn off.
  • Plug your phone into a charger and, without turning it on, let it charge until the on-screen or LED indicator says 100 percent.
  • Unplug your charger.
  • Turn your phone on. The battery indicator will likely not say 100 percent, so plug it in (leave your phone on for this) and continue charging until it says 100 percent on-screen as well.
  • Unplug your phone and restart it. If it doesn’t say 100 percent plug the charger back in until it says 100 percent on screen.
  • Repeat this cycle until it says 100 percent (or as close as you think it’s going to get) when you start it up without being plugged in.
  • Now, let your battery discharge all the way down to 0 percent and let your phone turn off again.
  • Fully charge the battery one more time without interruption and you should have reset the Android system’s battery percentage.

From there. Can't really do anything though if battery is a dud. Happens a lot with Chinese ones, looking at Amazon.

As far as generic Chinese batteries go, I've always had the most luck with these ones.

The gold labelling gives you the impression that they're a low quality rip-off, but I've found they actually work really well.

It's usually the ones that try to look like the Genuine OEM battery that perform the worst.
Where do you get those from?

OEM battery ordered and hopefully on its way. In the mean time I need to find a way to get the OnePlus 6. @PhireSide said I can't use his money, but he didn't say I can't use his moms money. How much is your mom donating? #FightForTheVikigns #NoNordsMustFall

Maybe speak to @Bryn regarding getting your paws on one. I'd say he is the resident OP fundi and would know best.

Are you going to expropriate my family's money? Sies!

I installed that app about a week ago and strangely my battery life went to ****. Uninstalled in and things are back to normal again.
Weird, it should have near no impact, just checked and it counts as <1% on my phone, battery currently at 25%.
Just uninstall after checking the charger and cable voltage/amperage and once you've gotten the capacity.

Updated OP.

Battery arrived from LG / Xecutronix a day ago (Thanks Scott!!!). This time it looks like an OEM or at least an OEM replacement. Text a bit lighter than original but everything else identical, to my eyes anyways. Percentages looks back to normal, will see after about 4 or 5 discharge and recharge. I also replaced the back buttons. Working great again. Might just need a new camera lens (old one really scratched). But this is gonna be a nice backup phone now.....

AccuBattery currently shows Battery Health at 110% (thanks @Johnatan56 ). Old batter was something like 70/80%.
