Android TV Box h265

Don't be scared to buy from Geekbuying. I have spend thousands with them and if you have the option for TNT Couriers, your item arrives within 7 working days. Take the shipping insurance option for peace of mind. For the price I would definitely go for the XIAOMI Mi Box.

Is there anywhere I can buy this locally?

But if this is anything to go by and you do in fact receive your item in a week the one on Geekbuying is R700 less.

True, plus points seem to be it is cheapest Android TV as apposed to Android box.

Most people have good things to say about it, not having Ethernet and having to rely solely on no dropouts on WiFi especially when streaming is what has put me off now.

Seems like Android TV still has a way to go with app support as well.

It seems most issues are related to the audio, I had no idea it didn't support DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD.

That's probably a non issue for most people but it's still nice to have for future proofing.
For that price it is hardly a deal breaker. You can off course pay R800-odd more and have those features.

Remember you can still install any apps the normal Android boxes support and use Sideload Launcher.

Also keep in mind the Mi Box unlike a lot of these other Android boxes has Wi-Fi ac and Dual-band allowing you to connect to the 5GHz band. On my network the Wi-Fi in the lounge gives me about 120Mbps, everything you can imagine will play at that speed.

I think I have 3 files with DTS-HD Master Audio and 1 with Dolby TrueHD. You really can't argue with that price, use it for a year and then the Mi Box 2 will probably be out at which point you upgrade and then you use the old one in the bedroom or bar area.

The NVIDIA Shield is obviously the best player you can currently buy but that costs 3x more.

Just remember to make sure that Showmax doesn't mistaken your tv box being rooted. Never worked on my Zidoo no matter how many root detection apps reported the device as not rooted.

Other than that I just set my one X9S up with a SATA and made it a NAS. I can now put media on one device and share it with every other device in the house. DSTV won't allow recording through the HDMI In, but "cutting the cable" this month so no more DSTV.

Good day.

I need some help please.

I am looking for suggestions for an android tv box that plays h265 video files no problem (no lag etc) and which supports hardware decoding.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone know where I can get (locally) a usb hub with ethernet adaptor that definitely works with the mi box?
