Android TV Box h265

Do you know for a fact that one works or did you just Google USB Ethernet hub?

was recommended in the droid tv thread
 
Also for potential future buyers of the Mi Box it looks like the update to Nougat will fix the HD audio issue since it seems to be firmware related not hardware.

People on reddit have been reporting in this week they started receiving the update to Nougat, these users were all part of the pre production beta testing of the Mi Box, if I had to guess I would say the global Nougat roll out should be within the next two months.

Edit: Apparently if you use SPMC, which is an unofficial fork of the Kodi app, HD audio is working, I found a post yesterday where someone said he tested his 40GB Avatar Blu-Ray and DTS-HD MA played perfectly.

From the change logs of the app it seems they manually ported over the needed files from Nougat to make codecs for SPMC and that is why it's working.

Anyone able to tell for DEFINITE which powered usb hub works with the Mi Box?

I would like to connect the following:
Wireless keyboard and mouse OR Rii Keyboard
2TB 2.5" External HDD
1TB 3.5" External HDD (powered)
Ethernet

reddit confirmed the J5 Create JUE130 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Network Adapter works.

Maybe you should get that one and a normal powered USB hub instead of getting one that's both the hub and Ethernet in one.

99.9% of USB hubs will work, just to be safe I would get USB 3.0 to eliminate any overhead issues.

Also I would like to point out your local only requirement is making it very difficult and more expensive, you can buy this directly from Amazon and have it by the end of next week or the beginning of the following week, it's 100% confirmed working by multiple people.

With shipping and customs it's ~R415 and then you simply buy a 5V 2A power supply from your local electronics store.

Thank you for your help and patience. I saw that particular one come up a couple of times during my googling but didn't realise it can be powered. Will get hold of ScottulusMaximus again for a quote. Awesome service from him.

I'm starting to want one myself even though I don't need it so I'm living vicariously through you.

Not to interfere with his business I'm sure it's awesome but the one I linked on Amazon ships directly to your door, you don't need a importing service, Amazon takes care of everything including paying customs etc.

You can buy it just like you would buy from say Takealot.

All of them will be the same thing, you can pay 3x more if you want it 5 days earlier but the AmazonGlobal Standard Shipping is the one I would choose.
