Yea ... stock is an issue.

Though a birdie tells that in 2 weeks, there'll be a new type Android TV box on the market very similar to the LIT box.

Again , mixed reviews with Roku just like the MI Box, so I'm leaning towards telkom LIT Box. As For apple, I rather spend a little more on the shield. I prefer Android as I can install whatever I want.

Shield is a very good option for the money.

LIT Box has served well at my folks.

ive had 2 Roku's in the past and can now longer work them as remotes are not functioning
i tried the hot spot route but still not connecting post switching ADSL to fibre
so ideally just needed remotes to reconnect but they dont sell them so was thinking of just buying new set up
either Roku + and utilise the remote
or alternative unit like the LIT

It's not going to be better than what is out there ... in the price range, everything is similar hardware anyhow (S905X etc) - so think LIT box, but not through Telkom ... so it'll be easy to get.

Easy to get is fine by me seeing as no-one has stock of LIT.

They should have by now ... I know the guys in CPT have found it.

Just FYI, pricing is going to be closer to Xiaomi though, Telkom are subsidizing the LIT
 
Got the mail from smartkit this morning. @Dolby is this the box you were talking about?

Yes, this is the box. It's almost identical to the LIT and has the ethernet port for 4K streaming. Additionally its distributed locally and supported locally. It's also slightly cheaper than the Mibox S.

The LIT is R1099 without a contract, it's a really good price but I know guys are having trouble getting their hands on one.
