Android Useful Apps

Yeah, I prefer a one stop solution that caters for all 4 email accounts I'm using.

My primary email client is actually Outlook on PC so it's on my PC where I decide what mail to delete and what mail to keep for future reference. My email backup resides on my PC in the form of an Outlook pst file. I also find Outlook native search features to be vastly superior to any web based solution.

Space isn't an issue either. Neither is data so, by default, I want all mails to download in all their intended glory...
You know the gmail client can do multiple accounts? I use gmail for my outlook365 based work account

Been using aquamail paid version for around 2 years, paid about R60 back then, and was bleak about that, so big eish for sandman.

But it does email well, actually very well. Won't change.

I used to use Aqua Mail. Eventually got too fed up with the crappy account switcher panel. Been using Outlook for a while now and it gets the job done. Doesn't show ads thanks to my Office 365 subscription.

Will give Aquamail a shot. I used to use airmail on iOS and just couldn't find anything remotely close on android.

I'm currentlt using the Gmail app. It works ok, but on my side it is delayed. it seems it doesn't sync in the background when I delete an email from the notifications. It will still appear once I open the mailbox and it just annoys me.

Outlook seems okish too, but it gets slow on my side as soon as I add more than 4 accounts.

OMG. Aquamail nailed the dark mode. For me, this alone is worth the R114 I just paid for it :)

DNS66 does a wonderful job blocking pesky ads on chrome and most apps. https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.jak_linux.dns66/

When are we going to see a built in ad blocker for chrome on Android, or at least the option to integrate a 3rd party one?
Probably never, Google said long ago they not allowing plugins on chrome mobile.
A built in ad blocker from a company that derives most of its income from ads?
Erm... Maybe check the new, Google announce 3 or 4 months ago that chrome will ship with a native ad blocker, it should be 1 or 2 releases away. Naturally they going to white list themselves, but the problem comes in with certain ads actually being malicious or obtrusive and while Google makes its money from adverts, they also have rules for advertisers to follow.

Many sites, thing mybb have no respect for their users and just flood the entire site with adverts that are actually render blocking making for an awful user experience, your bigger providers like Google have non-blocking ad loaders.
