System-wide: AdGuard from their website, DNS66

Browser only: Samsung Browser with a reputable blocker, Bromite (my daily driver), Brave

YouTube: has to be Vanced or a third party app of your choice

Android 9 and up? Just use DoT and a DNS provider with ad blocking. No need to be mucking about with any apps.

Anyone know of an app that will increase screen brightness when a specific app is launched or a device connected?

Can you think of any free ones off the top of your head?
The only other app I tried was IFTTT.

But my phone kill these apps, no way around it currently (Huawei issue).

That only does DNS level blocking. AdGuard does webpage filtering in addition to DNS level blocking, ie, removes/hides sections from web pages so they are not visible when browsing them, blocks tracking cookies, blocks malware and threats, annoyances like cookie popups or newsletter opt-ins.

Don't need any of that thanks. Bromite takes care of most of that anyway.

I did try the above on my P30 lite, didn't work.

It's a temporary fix and every time the app is killed, you need to re-allow admin permissions (accessibility, write system settings etc).

Oh, I'm hoping to do this with a Huawei p20 lite.
The killing apps thing started with Oreo on P10 lite and worsened from Andoid 9.

Edit: 3rd party apps with background, screen off permissions.
