Hi Guys

I have been a long time Android users and currently have the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. I am due for an upgrade and I really do not fancy the foldable devices that Samsung currently has.

I feel like Samsung is doing the same thing over and over and dont want to get a S22 or similar (My SO has the S22 Ultra and it feels like my Note 20)

So here is the question. Do I take the plunge and jump ship to Apple or should I stick it our with Samsung and Android

Please let me know the pro / cons and help me decide

Well you should maybe state what you use the phone for mostly and what things are important for you on a phone to get better advice.
As for Samsung doing the same thing over and over. That is basically all phones, iPhone too. At least if you move to iPhone it will be different, till you get the next iPhone after your first one

As an Apple fan, please buy an Android. Chances are you're gonna hate the iPhone because you want it to be like Android.

But go read this thread to see how an Android guy is enjoying (or hating) his iPhone.

as somebody who has both a Samsung and an Iphone, far far prefer the Samsung/Android phones,
so many more options, so much choices and so much freedom.

Iphone, you either love or you cant stand it.
I fall into the latter, never understood why anybody would pick an expensive, locked down Iphone, unless they had one from yonks ago, and are on their 12th one by now.
and have a Drawer full of old iphones, and stick with Iphone because everything in their house is Apple.

Only reason im considering moving is because I want change. I get what you are saying as people get stuck in their ways and minor things will probably irritate me

My best friend has been an Android fan for years, but one year decided to get an iPhone (It was an iPhone 7). For the next few weeks I had to listen to him bitching and moaning about how k@k iOS is and what a rubbish phone it is. I offered to swap my LG for his iPhone but he persevered. About a year later I asked him what his next phone would be and to my surprise his answer was "an iPhone". I'm not saying it will happen with you, but conversion is possible. :)

Android Folk: Android phone. Absolutely positively go for an Android phone. Only Android. Androiiiiiiid!

Also Android Folk: Wish we got some decent Androids in our market, not cast offs from China.

I spoke to Apple - they say to stick with what you know.
if you dont like Apple, never used one, and just got one, or lucky enough to get a work one.
your not missing anything actually. just an overpriced locked down phone that isn't repair friendly

stick with Android, and you wont go wrong.
if you want a Change OP, try a ROM,

changes the entire "feel" to something else, but still good old android.

Hmm, almost everyone I know nowadays uses an iPhone - but they were all Android before (myself included).

For a tech forum people here are very reluctant to fiddle and try out new things :P
