The correct name is "Estate Car", (Station Wagon is Americanise). If you can't load two bales of hay in it, then it is not an Estate Car.

The Mazda theory of station wagons (sporty they may be) is very similar to the Black-A-traffic theory which states that when you encounter two black Audis in traffic with one being an A4 station wagon and the other an A3 Sportzack then the A3 will look more station wagon like than the A4 station wagon. as illustrated here : http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/170313-A3-5-door-VS-A4-Avant
So based on both the Mazda and Black-A-traffic theorems we can conclude the A3 Sporthack is a station wagon and the Corsa C is not.
If the A3 Sportwack looks more stationwagon-ish than the A4 avant and Etude sportswagon then, based on the obvious, it should be called a station wagon.
You can call a rock a sport stone, but the bottom line is that it looks like a rock so therefore we can call it a rock.
Not in MS Paint it isn't.So the A4 is not 50cm longer than the A3?
See, that's all it takes. And you do have a beautiful station wagon. All that the A3 Sportjack needs to do is admit it. Just take a step back and say "MY stationwagon". It feels good don't it? Plus there we have all the millimetres too prove it thanks to PP.

I can't take any credit for that, I mean, it is common knowledge![]()
That explains the high sales volumes of VAGs I guess.
I also think that millions of people parting with hundreds of thousands of Rands each, says more than just one/few person.

wagonability ?I would say it's down to desirability, reliability and resale value.
