I'll be in the market for a new TV (Since I can't take my LG 55" 4K tv with me to the UK) next month.

Been looking online at some reviews and see a lot of people going on about TCL brands - which seem good. Not looking to spend crazy money on a TV. But would like something "nice" - comparable to the LG I have - maybe in 65" setup if budget allows.

Saw a couple reviews on the Sony X series too - but no experience with them.

Any suggestions? Something that is of course available in the UK market.

If you're in the UK, we cannot really commit, our models here don't always match those there.

Don't we get similar models in SA? (I don't think we get TCL though)
We do get TCL here in SA, have for a few years now, but in general there might be differences in each area.
Also depends on the budget, what you want etc, is it going to be a well lit area, badly lit etc...

Though if you can, something nice would be the LG Oled series, if you're a gamer the C series, if you're not the A or B should be fine.

Fair enough. Any experience with TCL's? Never heard of them until this week.

As for the room it's going in, I'm unsure on how much light it gets during the day (Will find out next month) - Perhaps I should look for the same LG TV I have or a slightly newer model. It works well in dark and light rooms.

Budget wise, around £600 or there abouts. (Call it R15k)

I do play games. But not often. Would want something that works well with a PS5

Personally no, reviewers are mostly positive depending on the model, as usual lower specced ones aren't great but okay and so on, so if you do go for one it would be the 7 or higher series like C745 or something like that. Gonna need to up the budget 750 pounds will get you a C745.

Yeah, perhaps. Might just stick with a 55" for now.
for 30quid more the TCL C745 would probably be your best bet, you may find it cheaper once you're there though.

For 600

At least you should be able to get most of the models from rtings.com and they have in depth tests and reviews, specially on the budget TV's which doesn't help us much in SA.

I've also noticed some of the TVs come with bloated stuff, like Alexa and Google integrated. So there's that. Doubt I'd use such things on the TV.

But yeah checking the prices in various places, you'd need to see what is the best bang for buck, you maybe able to get the 65" C745 if Amazon has it at 342
