Another which car thread...

2004/2005 Ford Fiesta is a good bet. That 1.4 Trend or the 1.6 Ghia are both pretty reliable

Wouldn’t go Citroen or Renault if not under warranty and motor plan.

Getz is a good option, Honda Jazz as well.

What about a corsa lite?

I don't like any of those. BUT your budget is tiny (even though it is a lot of money to me).

When I shopped for my vehicle (budget 50-60K, sold golf for 18K) I looked at the C2 and the Clio and Megane. The models I saw were closer to the 45K back then if I remember correctly .), but was not happy. Really look and feel cheap compared to something like a Getz (goodluck finding one) or even a tazz lol.
For your price range I will check local classifieds and Facebook groups as well as ask around family and friends.

I ended up getting a Hyundai Accent 2006. But I would also have been very happy if I could get a Getz

They are no different to any other car out there, the guys thought it would be a good idea to create that thread especially for it to prove something.

If you are looking for cheap car in the R35k range the Corsa is a good option.

As much as the make and model of the car is important, just so is the condition of the vehicle. Especially at the age and price of this particular search.
However, in my mind the the vital issue is the dealer offering the car. Jirre, there are some real crooks around and they promise the earth and when an issue arises, they turn their backs on you. If you have to buy through a dealer, then get the previous owner's contact details and speak to him.

My advice in this matter is to look for a private seller who has a good reason for selling - like an aged parent who has passed away and his children are disposing of it. Another positive reason for selling is the person who buys a car and rides it for years and years and then decides to replace it. If the seller has only had the car for a short while and now 'dumping' it, it's for a good reason, probably faulty!

And I would never even look at anything that Webuycars offer.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say that. I've sold several cars and bikes to them over the years, and there was nothing wrong with any of them. If you know what you are doing, they have some good deals.

My current car (which I'll keep) is a peugeot which is out of motorplan. Before that I had a Megane for 11 years, so.... My ex drives the same Clio I posted, same year and everything, just the Expression, not the Dynamique, never a heartbeat of a problem. I did have the DS3 for a while as well, no motorplan. I toasted the clutch good and proper though that was a consequence of beating it a bit hard.
